Gifts for the campaigns of Kay Bailey Hutchison and Barbara Radnofsky

This is not intended to be an endorsement of Ms Radnofsky for Texas Attorney General. It's just that I am against Attorney General Gregg Abbott because he told me he would accept my criminal evidence against persons in several state agencies: the Texas Medical Board, the Texas Board of Nursing, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and now he refuses to honor his word.

Open letter to Taylor Cooper, who works for Barbara Radnofsky's campaign for Texas Attorney General (challenging Gregg Abbott)

Dear Mr. Cooper,

I founded Texas Medical Board Watch to expose corruption at the TMB. I have evidence of malfeasance at several Texas agencies about which I have spoken to you before. Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott refuses to take my evidence.

On Feb 6, 2009, I was allowed to testify to the whole medical board at its regular meeting. My surprise 10 minute testimony listed half a dozen specific (causing US mail to be destroyed, other examples) and general ("abuse of power", etc.) criminal actions of TMB Executive Director Mari Robinson of which I was personally aware or could provide affidavit testimony. About two weeks later, I received notice that the medical board intended to suspend my medical license in an upcoming hearing. With no new complaint or evidence and no complaint or evidence ever regarding the quality of my medical care, my license was fraudulently suspended on March 24, 2009, on an emergency basis, a month later.

A slanderous press release from the TMB was published in my hometown newspaper, the Victoria Advocate, the following day.

The simplest, most direct evidence I have of agency malfeasance of which both the current attorney general and Governor Perry are aware, is an order/affidavit demonstrating inaction (aiding and abetting public corruption) of the Board of Nursing and the Texas Department of Public Safety in the case of a nurse practitioner who works for a former TMB member, Keith E Miller MD, in Shelby County, Texas. See attachment #1.

Texas licensed nurse, Bridget Yvette Hughes admits to over 50 forged narcotic prescriptions and is not disciplined or arrested.

Bridget Yvette Hughes non-disciplinary order with the Texas Board of Nursing

Nurse Bridget Hughes admits to the forgery of over 50 prescriptions of Schedule II Controlled Substances. Hughes was never arrested by DPS (or anyone else) and not disciplined by the BON at the time.

On the other hand, Hughes, self-prescribed antibiotics this year and received a public disciplinary order. See attachment #2. The forgery of narcotics prescriptions is a much more serious offense than the act of self-prescribing antibiotics.

Briget Hughes disciplined for self prescribing antibiotics.

Bridget_Hughes RN, Disciplinary Order

During the time in question (while she was being investigated for the first crimes), Hughes worked for Dr. Miller, her supervising physician. He continues to supervise her to this day. The BON order #2 assigns Dr. Miller to continue to monitor her nursing activities, after he has proven himself, multiple times, not to be adequate for the job. Dr. Miller appears to be aiding and abetting the felonies of Bridget Hughes.

The third attachment is a letter to me from Kent Mawyer, Chief of Criminal Law Enforcement, for Colonel Thomas Davis, former executive director of the Texas Department of Public Safety. He copies it to the medical, nursing, and pharmacy boards. My interpretation of the letter is that DPS does not plan further investigation of alleged criminal actions of Hughes and/or her boss, Dr. Miller for aiding and abetting.

Kent Mawyer's letter to me and three Texas healthcare licensing agencies indicating no further actions are anticipated against Bridget Hughes, who is supervised by Texas TMB licensee Keith E Miller MD.

Kent Mawyer letter to Shirley Pigott MD

Based on attachments #4 and #5, showing over 80 times where Dr. Miller has testified, in eight states, as a plaintiff's expert, I have written that he is a "court whore". The term is used by doctors to describe other doctors who will say whatever they are paid to say in a court of law under oath. My organization, Texas Medical Board Watch, gave him the "Red Devil Award", two years in a row. Miller is spending a lot of time and money suing me for slander. He will lose, because the truth is an affirmative defense against allegations of slander, as you know.

Expert Testimony - Keith E Miller MD

Expert Testimony - Keith E Miller MD, Updated

The Wharton County District Attorney, Republican Josh McCown, has prosecuted me fraudulently for three very serious felonies which were alleged to have occurred Sept 29, 2007. There is circumstantial evidence that the involved DPS officers staged the scene. A Wharton County jury found me guilty of two first degree felonies, but acquitted me of the third. Sentencing is still pending for Jan 25, 2010, two years and three months after the precipitating events; the case will be appealed at that time.

In preparation for my criminal case, I and two other witnesses saw an email exchange between Nurse Bridget Hughes and DPS Captain Patrick Mulligan in Joshie's evidence file. The two should never have heard of each other and their communications imply (!) collusion. Captain Mulligan forwarded the email to the judge's administrator, Cassie Ritter, who forwarded it to the DA. I do not believe that the judge knew of the circulation of these emails or that his office was assisting the DA in an ex parte collection of evidence.

At a time during preparation for trial, when I was pro se, I filed and was granted a motion to cause the DA to produce what I believed to be exculpatory evidence. The DA failed to produce it, in violation of a direct court order. My motion to hold him in contempt of court was denied.

Attachments #1 and #2 are public information. Number 3 is a personal letter to me from DPS. Attachments #4 and #5 are obtained from a service which tracks expert testimony. I believe my evidence, in these documents, will prove to be indisputable confirmation of corruption in Attorney General Abbott's office, Governor Perry's office, the Texas Medical Board, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Board of Nursing. All your campaign needs to do is to prove that our Texas Attorney General refuses to acknowledge it, and once you prove they are aware of the information I have provided, if they continue to do nothing, perhaps you can assist me in getting them indicted for "misprision of felonies", a felony.

Could we seek an Attorney General's OPINION in these matters?

Shirley Pigott MD
Director, Texas Medical Board Watch

An interesting aside is that Keith E Miller MD has testified under oath that criminal charges are pending against me in Shelby County, Texas. He expects the DA, Lynda K Russell, his patient, to prosecute me. She is alleged to have been running the asset forfeiture scam by Tenaha police which has made the national news:

CNN's version

LA Times' version

The ACLU wants the Texas Attorney General to keep her from using money to defend herself against a class action lawsuit alleging her to be behind these illegal seizures.

This is it for today

Mr. Meritz:

Mike Volpe blogs the Provocateur: please google [volpe "shirley pigott"] You should see about 5 stories - good background, but not up-to-date. Mike's phone number is 312-622-6546.

Craig Malisow wrote one story about me in the Houston Press. He did not know me at the time. He says he is trying to digest some of what I've been sending him. I'm not totally sure he believes me, because he's not interacted with me that much. His direct line is 713-280-2481.

Safaa Hakim MD is a good friend, a psychiatrist, in Connecticut, who was sham peer reviewed but is back to work. (phone number inserted) Medical Whistleblower, who is traumatized, was sham peer reviewed in another state. Her loved ones were harmed. She has been physically and emotionally abused. Rene Umali MD (phone number inserted) was sham peer reviewed in California. He has five young children and is trying to redirect his career, which has been destroyed. Hil Rizvi MD was sham peer reviewed in Maryland but is still working, fortunately. Eric Gluck MD, in Connecticut, has been destroyed emotionally after exposing the false credentials of former Navy Vice Admiral Donald Arthur.

Dave Johnson (phone number inserted), retired, formerly a regional head of IT for the Department of Labor, was diagnosed with heart disease several years ago. The doctor who saved his life was sham peer reviewed and her career was destroyed. Geraldine Mills MD, a pediatrician in Rhode Island, had her career destroyed a number of years ago after she reported, as a mandated reporter, two cases of child abuse.

Pastor Paul Sims (phone number inserted) has been a good e-friend. I've introduced him to some of the above doctors for emotional support. Curious Cat has been the victim of bad doctors, whose medical boards, apparently, protect them. I surmise that, because those doctors and the bad ones the rest of us have reported are still practicing medicine.

Susan Diamond MD was emotionally abused by her physician husband and his expert witness, Mark Blotcky MD. As a result, she lost custody of her five children.

Dr. Blotcky, like Dr. Keith Miller, is a court whore, in doctors-lounge parlance.

Bill Duff, tries to defend us by writing letters to journalists who don't get the picture. His wife, who stays out of it, is a physician.

This is just a start. Please help tell our stories truthfully - I've been trying over four years to break into the mainstream media, but no one has the courage, it seems, to tell our stories. We are some of the reasons health care is in its current dismal shape. Most people don't hear about us because sham peer review is so horribly humiliating and destructive. My sham peer review caused my husband to commit suicide on the day I was fraudulently indicted for two felonies in Wharton County on January 8, 2008. My lawyer, Jerry Payne, (Houston) has my permission to say whatever he wants to say about my cases.

Carol Davis (Houston) has been a tremendous emotional support for me and other crime victims.

When (if) you follow up on what I'm telling you, keep in mind that most of us are severely emotionally traumatized; with some of us the trauma is on-going. We are desperate and not always composed. The country must know what is happening to doctors who speak out.

Loretta Romo is a resident of Wharton, Texas. The DA there, Josh McCown, prosecuted me for fleeing arrest "with a deadly weapon", in my car, which he seized on September 29, 2007. He asked for, and received, a superseding indictment nine months after the event, apparently because I won't let him have my car (he's held it since Sept 29, 2007) without a fight, for "aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer in the line of duty with a deadly weapon (my car)". He was trying to put me in prison for life, but the jury wouldn't go along. He did convict me of the two counts of fleeing arrest. I was actually fleeing from two Texas DPS officers, in fear for my safety.

Loretta's son-in-law was found dead this year, hung by a hose wrapped around his neck. Josh McCown ruled it suicide and instructed authorities not to investigate. Hispanics and blacks have much more to say about white Republican Josh McCown.

Nurse Practitioner Bridget Hughes, who is still working for Dr. Keith Miller in Shelby County, Texas, admits to the forgery of over 50 Schedule II Controlled Substances prescriptions in an affidavit prepared for the Board of Nursing. Those are strong narcotics in the same class as propofol, the general anesthetic which was given IV, criminally, to Michael Jackson, at home, by Houston doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray.

The Texas Medical Board has allowed Dr. Murray to continue working. We cannot find out if the TMB is even investigating him, but DPS has not arrested him. Neither has DPS arrested Bridget Hughes for her felonies. The order she signed is not disciplinary.

On February 6, 2009, I was allowed to testify to the medical board about the half dozen state and federal crimes perpetrated by their current executive director, Mari Robinson, about which I have personal knowledge. A couple weeks later, with no new evidence and no evidence or complaints about me ever concerning the quality of patient care, the board sent me a letter telling me they were going to suspend my medical license (on an emergency basis) a month later. A month later they suspended my license on an emergency basis after finding me to be, they said, "mentally impaired". (I do have a disability, bipolar disorder, but it has been treated for many years, and is stable, according to my psychiatrist, Matthew Brams MD.) Prior to my surprise testimony, I had written the former medical board president, Roberta Kalafut DO and the medical board itself several times alleging the same crimes by Robinson.

Dr. Chris Kuhne (phone number inserted) can provide you with additional information on one of her crimes about which he has personal knowledge.

Jill Wiggins is the spokesperson for the Texas Medical Board. She should corroborate, at least, that I testified before the board on February 6th. My attorney won't let me communicate with the board, or I would copy this letter to them, but you can find their number on the Internet. If not, perhaps you can confirm, by open records request, that I testified on that date (unless the board changes its records).

Ms Wiggins sent a press release to my hometown newspaper, the Victoria Advocate, which printed it. The editor responsible, Chris Cobler, did not have time, he said, to listen to my side of the story. I'm copying this letter to him. I had kept Victoria Advocate reporter, Gabe Semenza, up-to-date on medical board issues and begged him to tell my story for about two years, but his bosses refused to allow him to print it. I'm sending a copy of this letter to him. I believe he will substantiate that I have kept him informed. I do not know whether Mr. Semenza ever investigated. You can ask him; his phone number and email address are listed below:
gsemenza@vicad.com 361-574-1220 - Work Fax; 361-580-6519 direct line - Work

You have enough information, Mr. Meritz, to verify independently some of what I am writing you. I believe the public has a right to know. The story of the TMB and Dr. Conrad Murray is of even wider interest. The Texas Medical Board is the "worst in the country", according to the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, which is suing it in federal court for violating the civil rights of its licensees.
